Lebanon hosted the 7th Pan Arab Web Awards at a Glittering Ceremony on 7th
June 2011

Following Jordan, Oman and United Arab Emirates, Lebanon hosted the 7th Pan Arab Web Awards Ceremony at the prestigious Ballroom of Phoenicia Beirut on 7th June 2011

The ceremony highlighted creativity and outstanding achievements which were witnessed by Ambassador of UAE in Lebanon, HE Rahmeh Al Zoabi, Ambassador of Oman, HE Mohammad Al Jazmi; Ambassador of Jordan, HE Zeid Al Majali; and representatives of Ambassadors for Egypt and Saudi Arabia; as well as representative of Arab Administrative Development Organization/League of Arab States, Dr. Abdelraheem Allam; Chairman and GM of Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), Mr. Nabil Itani; Chief of Intellectual Property Unit, Lebanese Ministry of Trade and Economics, Mrs. Salwa Faour, and the Executive Manager for Prince Salman Award for Youth, Mr. Badr Asaker. This festival also attracted a selected audience of over 450 guests from Lebanon and the Arab world interested in the digital sector.

During the ceremony four personalities were honored for their outstanding achievements in various fields;
Dr. Salem Bin Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, CEO, Information Technology Authority, Oman, IT Man of the year
Mr. Marwan Hayek, Chairman and GM Alfa, Lebanon, Telecommunication Man of the year
Mr. Mohammad El Edwan, Man of the Year for Planning and E-Documentation, Jordan
Mr. Zaven Kouyoumdjian, Man of the Year for the outstanding achievements

The Pan Arab Web Awards Academy honored winners from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

The announcement of results was particularly an emotional moment to Koein, Lebanon, who won Web Company of the Year Award; Zed Communications, UAE, Digital Agency of the Year,  Paravision, Lebanon, was granted the Multimedia Company of the Year and Best Website in the Arab Region went to Laha Magazine designed by Koein.
